Lately...

January 10, 2014

The last 3 weeks have been the absolute best. Busy in a lot of ways yet relaxing and somewhat recuperating too. We managed to catch up with all the family and friends we wanted to see, ate lots (too much on my behalf) of good food, had lots of hearty good laughs and made some more happy memories together. On the flip side, our own little family (the 3 of us) spent pretty much every other day on the beach enjoying all that sun, surf and sand. Glorious! We ate out a fair bit (once again, perhaps a little too much), had LOTS of ice cream, watched countless DVDs and made the most of our time together.

Now that the holidays are over and hubby is heading back to work next week, that cursed post-holiday blues are slowly starting to creep in and getting me feeling overwhelmed at the year ahead. So many plans, ideas and goals set for 2014 but no inspiration or motivation to actually get it started. I know I know, making that first jump is the hardest bit so I really just need to stop having a pity party and give myself a bit of a kick in the buttocks to get the year rolling and the blogging happening.

Enough about me! How were your holidays and how is your 2014 looking?

p.s - I'm rounding up the Christmas Post-a-Parcel round next week and announcing the winner so keep your eyes peeled for that. It's been another wonderful round filled with lovely creative packages! Also, it seems like a lot of you are keen for another round of parcel swap - what do you think of a Valentine's themed swap?

Have a tops weekend y'all! x

  3. A happy new year to you too. I know what you mean, it's super hard getting into the rhythm of things!! And you're even more spot on...you gotta push through that first initial stage and after that, the ball just sorta gets rolling. I love you blog, I love absolutely reading your thoughts and your creativity so keep doing just that!
