I'm a self confessed food-waster. Yep, I start the week off with a whole bunch of groceries and by the end of the week, my poor husband is cleaning out the fridge chucking out things that won't last more than a week or so. Like for example.. HERBS! I always feel terrible chucking these babies out but I always thought what good would they be once they dry up right? WRONG!
It wasn't until I watched Jamie Oliver's "Save with Jamie" that I realised air drying herbs is one of the best ways to a) save money and b) preserve the flavour of the herb. So, here's my take on air drying. All you need is a good sturdy (and clean) branch from your garden and some rope/string to tie your herbs with.
P.S - They make your kitchen smell amazing!
