No-churn Chocolate & Coconut Rough Ice Cream

Everyone loves ice cream!  It's a fact. The other fact is that none of us can be bothered making our own ice cream.  Am I right? I came across Nigella Lawson's basic (and super easy) chocolate ice cream recipe which I've made before, but this time around I decided to add a bit of Nutella and coconut rough pieces to see how it would turn out/taste.  

Verdict = gloriously good. 


NO-CHURN CHOCOLATE & COCONUT ROUGH ICE CREAM

Ingredients:

100g of dark chocolate
100g of milk chocolate
2 tablespoons of Nutella
1/2 cup of coconut rough pieces (or you can use shredded coconut)
200ml double cream
200ml milk
50g of caster sugar


Method:

1.  Place the milk chocolate, dark chocolate and milk in a saucepan to melt.
2.  Once mixture is melted, add Nutella and mix well.
3.  Add the sugar and and double cream and whisk well until soft peaks form.
4.  Pour into an airtight container and freeze for 6 hours overnight.

Hint - Add some chopped walnuts or almonds to give it a bit of a crunchy texture!

  1. umm....hell yes. anything with nutella is just plain good but i wonder....whether...you can add a few more teaspoons in after you've whisked. I mean, not add the nutella in the beginning and add it in the end. OR just have a few teaspoons while making it...i think i might go with the last one :D :D
